Dr Akram has over 20 years experience working in a variety of roles in both the UAE and Lebanon. With over 9 years solid experience as a quality manager leading the quality management integrated management system / ISO, he has achieved a Global Star Rating for service Excellence (SevenStars) and ICXS 2019:1.

As a certified lead auditor for ISO IMS and an expert trainer and coach in Quality Management, he has twice led JCI accreditation for hospital and ambulatory care organizations.

He is a holder of CPHQ and has a Green Belt SixSigma (ASQ).

He holds a Masters degree in Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management from RCSI, Dubai campus and a Doctoral Degree (DBA) with specialization in TQM and Organizational Learning from SBS Swiss Business School where he is now an adjunct lecturer on the MBA program.
